Purchasing an item from Taildecker.com? Taildecker Decks and accessories are shipped via UPS or FedEx Ground. However, Express shipping is available. Please call 1-877-TAILDKR (1-877-824-5357) for rates and options.

Ground Shipping

Please allow two to four weeks for delivery of your Taildecker system and accessories. Shipping times will vary depending on the size of the package and the delivery location. Most packages generally are delivered within 2-7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) from their date of shipment. Freight shipments range from 2-9 business days. While we are happy to offer products to customers located in Alaska, Hawaii, and other areas outside the continental United States, a shipping charge will apply to these locations and delivery times will vary.

Truck Freight

Truck freight applies to orders consisting of large parts or items that require special handling due to their shape, weight, or packaging. Orders with these characteristics are shipped via Truck Freight. Orders usually are processed for shipment within 24-48 hours from confirmation of your order. Delivery may take 2-9 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), within the continental United States. Truck Freight to Alaska and Hawaii may take up to 14 business days and may require additional charges. In the event that your order is subject to additional charges, we will contact you via email with a revised shipping quote.

Shipping costs for orders from Taildecker.com are flat rate charges based on the weight and size of the item.

Return Policy

You may return new items sold by Taildecker within 30 days for a refund, minus any shipping costs incurred. A 10% restocking fee will be applied to all returns. Items should be returned in their original packaging. When returning an item, the customer is responsible for shipping all of the purchased items back. To arrange a return, just call us at 1-877-TAILDKR (1-877-824-5357) and we will guide you through the process.

**NOTE** You must contact our Customer Service staff before returning an item so that we can give you your RMA# and Authorize the return!

Items that are NOT Returnable

Taildecker DOES NOT accept returns of the following items:

• Items not purchased from Taildecker
• Any item that has obvious signs of use or abuse or is missing parts and pieces

Warranty

We provide a limited warranty of 90 days from the date received by the original purchaser or installer, unless otherwise specified, and covers the replacement of a defective parts.  The warranty applies only to parts replacement unless a part cannot be obtained in its place.  For such cases, a full refund will be issued to the original purchaser.  A refund or an exchange of a defective part will be processed only if it is accompanied by the original sales invoice. All items must be in their original condition and must not be damaged due to incorrect installation.  The warranty is limited only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

• All items are given a limited 90 day warranty period by the manufacturer.  The manufacturer will allow the parts to be under warranty provided that these parts are free from defects in workmanship and material
• Under No circumstances will our liability exceed the amount of the original sale
• Products damaged as a result of abuse, misuse, improper repairs or maintenance, improper installation, alteration, or modification will not be covered by the warranty
• The warranty does not cover airfreight charges, labor expenses, towing expenses or rental car expenses resulting from installation errors.  Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.  We will not reimburse any return shipping charges incurred.
• All returned items must have the RA (Return Authorization) number written outside the shipping box prior to return.  The RA Numbers can be obtained by call or by emailing our Customer Service department.Returned items without the RA numbers will not be accepted.
• Our liability does not cover lost or stolen packages, mailed by the customer, containing the parts being claimed under warranty.  Because the customer is the shipper, he is the only one who can file any lost claim with the shipping company; therefore the claim must be coordinated and processed through the shipping company by the customer.

Finish Protection and Finish Warranty Terms 

The Taildecker deck has a high quality finish that must be cared for like any other exposed finish on the vehicle.  Protect the finish by using non/abrasive cleaners or wax. The use of any soap or polish or wax that contains any abrasive is detrimental, as the compounds scratch the finish. Care should be exercised when positioning all accessories to the deck to protect the finish. The Taildecker deck is high quality, powder coated aluminum, however dragging accessory arms or accessory units across the surface of the deck may result in scratching the powder coated surface. Taildecker, Inc. assumes no liability for the above!
